Septic systems are individual wastewater treatment systems that use the soil to treat small wastewater flows, usually from individual homes.
There are many types of septic systems in use today, including conventional septic systems and mound systems. The type of system required for your site will depend on the type of soils on your property and the area available for the installation. In the event there is either a lack of space or poor quality soils, a holding tank may be installed depending on your county’s regulations.
